Chitrakoot, popularly known as "The Hill of Many Wonders", is one of India's most sacred pilgrimage destinations. It is believed to be the place where Lord Rama, Maa Sita, and Lakshmana spent 12 years of their exile.

DAY 09

Varanasi – Sarnath & Bharat Mata Temple

Holy Ganga Snan & Kashi Vishwanath Darshan

Begin the day early with a holy dip in the sacred River Ganga, followed by the divine darshan of Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple, one of the twelve sacred Jyotirlingas dedicated to Lord Shiva.

After breakfast, depart for the peaceful town of Sarnath, followed by a visit to the famous Bharat Mata Temple.

Return to Varanasi for lunch. The remaining part of the day is free for leisure, shopping, and personal activities. Overnight stay at the hotel.

About Sarnath

Sarnath is one of the holiest Buddhist pilgrimage destinations in the world. It was here, in the serene Deer Park, that Lord Buddha delivered His first sermon after attaining enlightenment.

Sarnath later became one of the greatest centres of Buddhism. Emperor Ashoka built magnificent stupas, monasteries and other monuments here to preserve the teachings of Buddha.

The famous Chinese scholar Hiuen Tsang wrote about the grandeur and splendor of Sarnath during his visit. Rediscovered and excavated in 1836, Sarnath has once again become an important pilgrimage destination where visitors from across the world come to pay homage to the Great Teacher.
